Artist Statement: "This design was inspired by time. An island-ized version of Eurocentric clocks. 'Poly time' can sometimes mean being fashionably late to to'ona'i or your cousin's wedding or in this context it means being present in the now. Each Samoan word on the clock represents the time we have now and how that effects our future as Samoans and as a community. This piece was designed as a reminder to stay present and grateful for what we have NOW."
