Artist Statement: "This design represents three beautiful generations of Samoan culture. I've been fortunate enough to have been raised by incredibly intelligent and strong women. As an adult learning new things about my culture has grown my confidence in identity. My mom and grandmas have always reminded me of my roots and how much power there is in praying and practicing our traditional ways. I will always honor the women not only of my own bloodline but of my culture because Samoa is so beautiful and colorful. It's important to learn and remember our history. It's been significantly eye-opening and grounding for me in my self development."
